On a running track, a woman runs and obsessively compares herself to another runner drenched in sweat who overtakes her. Convinced by a trend and a poster that effort must be visible through perspiration, she pushes herself to exhaustion. Unable to sweat as much as her imagined rival, she ultimately creates her own, artificial sweat—and finally finds satisfaction.

biography

I’m Léo, 23, a Master’s student at Penninghen. This film is my first short film. It explores beauty through comparison, an obsession of my generation, amplified by social media, where appearance often outweighs the reality of our actions.
