Ubuntu

Like every morning, Ema plunges into the subway. The crowd, the noise—everything builds up, weighs her down, and anxiety settles into this daily commute. But that morning, an innocent hand, without a word, invites her to slow down. To take refuge in the calm of her music, and to truly observe the life unfolding around her. What if beauty already existed in these simple, fragile, deeply human gestures? "Ubuntu" : A word from the Bantu languages, conveys the belief that “I am because we are.”

Naomi Pariente

biography

Since childhood, creation has always been an essential means of expressing myself. Gradually, I expanded my palette—from musical composition to video and photography, and even theater. Cinema allows me to bring all these passions together, to give them life and make them interact.
